FAQ's
1. Could I fit this around my vacation?
Yes, absolutely! You choose the dates and times for ALL of your sessions. For best results, they should be approximately 2 weeks apart. Other than that, go ahead and create a schedule that really works for you.
2. Does my teenager need to be on board with this?
No. This is your own process of discovery and developing something new in yourself. Your new way of parenting will emerge gradually, one interaction at a time, in a way that feels natural to you and your family.
3. How much time do I need to devote to this?
You will engage in practices that take about 10 minutes per day and answer some reflective questions each week, which will require at least 30 minutes. Since you're in an intensive, you may want to give it more of your time and take a deeper dive. That's up to you.
4. Couldn't I just do this on my own?
Maybe but I'm assuming there's a very good reason that you're here and you've read this far... When we’re shifting a way of parenting that’s not working anymore, it’s difficult to see our role in the problem objectively and self-compassionately. And being able to release it and move forward is even harder. That's where I come in - to guide and support you until this change is really "in" you.
Also, when you’re doing it on your own, it can be slow, two steps forward and one step back. And when it comes to our relationships with our kids, there really isn’t time to leave those problems to simmer and hope they work themselves out. You want to face what’s going on. You want to focus your inner work so you can get your relationship to a more solid, respectful, loving place.
